Fans are use to seeing her body slam 300 pound men, or making the world laugh with her many comedy films. But the ex-wrestling champion turned best selling model, author and comedic actress is fighting a new fight, a fight for peace that she hopes will end all animal cruelty forever.
Chyna has two tea cup Chihuahuas, Bambi Rue (now 4 years old) and Honey Suckle (now 3) who are her pride and joy. Chyna's love for animals does not stop at her two dogs though. Chyna has supported many animal charities over the past 10 years.
Her most recent appearance at the 2009 Beastly Ball along with comedy legend Betty White, helped raise over ten thousand dollars for the Los Angeles Zoo. In addition Chyna has given a lot of money to various animal charities including "The New Leash on Life" and "The Los Angeles Animal Rescue", which is a "no kill" animal shelter.
If that isn't enough for you, she also lead a peaceful protests at the UCLA with thousands of other animal rights activists. Her mission was to stop the UCLA from cruelly testing deadly medications and products on monkeys and chimps. A week later Chyna, along with an ever larger group of protesters stormed the streets of Los Angeles in yet another peaceful protest, asking congress and the FDA (Food and Drug Administration) to order pet food companies to list all of the ingredient they put in the pet's food as thousands (of pets) were dying from non listed ingredient.
In 2006 Chyna appeared at the "Nuts for Mutts" dog show presented by the "New Leash on Life Charity" and reportedly gave thousands of dollars to the company for food and medication (fact source: www.newleash.org -2006).
