HEALTH & FITNESS
One of Chyna's biggest passions is fitness. From a very early age Chyna began working out, doing aerobics, lifting weights and learning all about the world of fitness. Chyna grew up in a home full of domestic violence and abuse, and used fitness, not drugs as a refuge from her pain.

Before the lights, cameras and world wide fame, Chyna competed in fitness pageants and was a dancer. She competed in the 1994 ESPN Fitness America Competition and belly danced for several years as a job.

Since then, Chyna has become an international figure in the fitness and sporting world. She released a best selling fitness video, More Than Meets The Eye and has won several fitness and lifestyle awards from, Jane Magazine and Lifted Magazine. Chyna is a health and fitness addict and has been preaching living a healthy life for over 10 years!

"My fitness regime is based on a strength building and cardio workout. I have been using my own weight via Pilates, and Yoga which is so hard it is unbelievable the different kind of strength you build. I never used to do cardio and now I spin, dance, walk fast, I love all the stepmills, and machines and I definitely, definitely am building some cardio endurance and learning how to breathe, and my physique is longer more streamlined. It has been completely different from that explosive heavy armored strength, to an open vulnerable overall strength inside and out. It is quite amazing. Cardio has always been hard for me. It is breathing and I am really feeling strong and fit. More than ever now, just with a few injuries. Yoga and stretching and your own body strength has helped a lot with my injury pain. So every day is different, but I do still stay very active. I put my NIKEs on and I just go do it!!!! Whatever it may be. Spin, classes, belly dancing, treadmill, I just tried tennis! kicked my own but, ballet, fun stuff that I am not necessarily good at, but I am working out hard. Plus I love the little outfits and accessories to go with all the different activity. The message here is stay active, have fun. I am however more regimented with the yoga. If I want a day off, I take it, and I do not beat my body up! This feels like the right way to do it. Even without the wrestling, of which I excelled, the born athlete in me enjoys every workout and I have and will continue to give myself that gift of health for the rest of my life! You dont have to be the best at it just do it!"

Chyna is now a vegatarion. Chyna believes "If I dont kill it then I shouldnt eat it." Chyna studied many nutrition books after her WWE career to find a diet suitable for her figure and needs. Chyna does not need such large protein intake anymore as she is not maintaining as muscular a body. Chyna eats almost the complete opposite of what she use to do she now eats lots of veg, fruit and try to eat as much organic food as possible. Chyna is currently on the master cleanse fast. WHich is a very mental challenging diet. The benefits of this diet are it cleanses joints helps back problems and helps with insomnia and detoxing the body of toxins.

Chyna when she began sculpting her body read a lot about protein diets, protein shakes etc. Protein is the building block for muscle so Chyna ate lots of Milk, cheese, meats and protein shakes. During this time Chyna during this time trained as hard as possible with heavy, heavy weights and no cardio except for wrestling because she wanted to look and be as big and powerful as possible.
